Field Trip– NPCIL -Kudankulam (12-6-2025)

On 12th June 2025, students from Grades 9 to 12 had the enriching opportunity to visit NPCIL, Kudankulam, as part of their educational field trip. The visit lasted for about seven hours, during which students explored various aspects of nuclear power generation.

The session began with informative lectures and presentations from the NPCIL officials. Students were introduced to detailed exhibits and models that illustrated the working of nuclear power plants, their infrastructure, and the electricity generation process. The control room visit was particularly insightful, offering students a rare glimpse into real-time operations.

A significant highlight of the visit was learning about the stringent safety measures implemented at the plant. Officials explained how safety is prioritized at every level, which deeply impressed both students and teachers. The visit successfully dispelled common misconceptions and sparked genuine interest in the field of nuclear energy.

We are proud to mention that our students actively engaged in discussions, asked thoughtful questions, and answered many posed by the NPCIL officials. Their enthusiasm was recognized, and several students received gifts as tokens of appreciation.

A special mention goes to Rajiv of Grade 12 and his father, who extended their warm assistance during the lunch session arranged generously by NPCIL.

The trip was seamlessly organized by our Principal, whose meticulous planning ensured a safe, informative, and memorable experience for everyone.

This field tour not only complemented their academic learning but also inspired many to consider careers in science and technology.
