Independence Day Celebration : (15/8/26)

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The event commenced with a grand March Past led by the School Council members, followed by the invocation song and Tamil Thai Vazhthu.

Junior Brinda delivered the welcome address setting a warm tone for the morning. Then the school choir sang the patriotic Flag Song. Abrax (Grade 8) led the gathering in taking the pledge, followed by an inspiring Hindi speech and the singing of the National Song.

The cultural program began with a welcome dance by our talented students. This was followed by speeches on the theme “India @2047” and an insightful address on “சிறுதுளி தேசப்பற்று பெருவெள்ள மாற்றங்கள்” (Small drops of patriotism bringing many changes).

The students then performed a soulful patriotic song and an energetic patriotic dance, leading into an impressive traditional Silambam display. The performance of Pyramid Formation by our young students was the highlight of the celebration.

The celebration continued with a vibrant fancy dress competition by our young kids and an encouraging address by our Correspondent, Dr. Kumar Ganesan.

Adwin Mathew delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who made the event a success, highlighting that the dedication of the teaching and non-teaching staff was also vital to the success of the program.

At last, the unwavering support of the helpers and aunties throughout the event ensured everything ran smoothly. The program concluded on a proud note with the collective rendition of the National Anthem, after which sweets were distributed to all the parents, teaching and non-teaching staff, helpers, and students.
